The Forest lies about 35 km southeast of Zanzibar township in Zanzibar’s South Region. It is the only remaining natural forest on Unguja Island (which along with Pemba makes up the islands of Zanzibar). The forest which covers an area of 10 sq km consists of woodland, swamp
